GCSO - Tonto Rim Search & Rescue Squad
Tonto Rim Search and Rescue is a volunteer group trained to respond to wilderness emergencies such as finding lost hikers and carrying out injured persons after an accident.
In continuous service to Arizona since 1964. Every year thousands of people visit our national forests and occasionally someone gets into a situation that is beyond their control. When the Gila County Sheriff's Office is notified, they call us to assist them in finding the lost person or extricating the injured. Our volunteers spend hundreds of hours training for this type of situation and are willing to respond, no matter
the weather conditions or personal plans they may have.
Must be a resident of Gila County and at least 18 years old with no felony history to join. Everyone is welcome to apply, we have many areas where your expertise can be applied.
Meetings: 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at the Payson Public Library multi-purpose room, 328 N. McLane Road. We invite anyone interested in learning more about our organization to the monthly meeting.

The Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary of the United States Air Force and is a voluntary organization involved in performing
the three missions as established by the U.S. Congress: EMERGENCY SERVICES - search and rescue, disaster relief, civil defense and counterdrug activities; CADET PROGRAMS - designed to build character and inspire youth leadership for those in the 6th grade and up to 18 years of age through an interest in aviation; AEROSPACE EDUCATION - to keep the membership and public informed on vital aerospace issues and activities.

Tonto Amateur Radio Association
Affliated with the Amateur Radio Relay League. Organized to further the art/science of Amateur Radio, function for the enjoyment of members. To provide a source of education, information, experience, encouragement to members and the General Public; relative to Amateur Radio. Endeavors include providing communications for emergencies and public events, as much as our limited resources allow.
Meetings: Monthly business meeting held on the 1st Saturday of each month, with some exceptions, at the Payson Public Library meeting room. Our monthly social breakfast/gathering, is held the last Saturday at 8AM, at the Crosswinds Restaurants' west dining room, at Payson Regional Airport.

American Red Cross, Rim Country Service Unit
Trained volunteers are ready, willing and able to help families and individuals who have suffered loss from a disaster such as a home fire, flash flood, microburst, wildfire or other event that may affect one person or thousands. Volunteers respond
any time of the day or night, to assess needs and provide immediate emergency assistance, which may include food, shelter and clothing, as well as emotional support, assistance in the replacement of health-related items, and case management.

Promoting health education opportunities for members
of the communities of Payson, Pine, Strawberry, and the surrounding areas through programs, activities, and grants. Mogollon Health Alliance is a non-profit 503C-1 organization serving the Rim communities since 1954.The majority of the services we provide and projects we sponsor rely on monies received from fundraisers, public donations, grants, donations to our thrift shop,and fundraisers for their success.

MHAX III Cardiopulmonary Exercise Program located at Payson Athletic Club; Yearly health-related scholarships for high school students and adults; and Grants to Rim area fire departments for medical education of personnel.
The MHA Almost New Thrift Shop is in need of volunteers to help sort clothes and cashier. Volunteers work a four hour shift. The thrift store is open Monday through Saturday with a four hour shift in the morning and a four hour shift in the afternoon. We have openings on all shifts. What a great way to meet new people and help raise funds for our scholarship program!
